The pause that refreshes

Maybe you took a break this summer. Maybe you’re going back to work soon.
Ask yourself:
Am I happy doing what I’m doing?
Am I happy working where I’m working?
That book I was working on — is there something about it that I ought to change?
If I could change something, what would I change?
The view looks different now
When you stop doing what you’re doing for a week or two, you get something incredibly valuable. More valuable than rest, and more valuable than relaxation.
You get perspective.
Do not waste it.
Because if you’re going to make a change, now is the moment when that change will be clearest to you.
Insightful as always! Thank you, Josh.
