Creating makes us human

ChatGPT and similar tools are good helpers. They can read and summarize vast amounts of information.

ChatGPT is good for solving grammatical and organizational problems in content creation. It also generates a virtually unlimited number of ideas (some good, some awful), if you prompt it correctly.

But in a situation where you, a human, are trying to connect with another human, it’s a poor substitute. If you are doing a human-to-human job, you should be creating the connection with your own imperfect but sincere humanity.

This includes marketing copy.

It includes term papers.

It includes books of all kinds, including nonfiction and how-to books.

It includes political speeches and standup comedy.

And of course, it includes professions of love.

No matter how good the tools get, never outsource your humanity.
